I started my career as a business journalist, rising to the ranks of Deputy Editor at SmartCompany.com.au, the largest small business publication in Australia.
I interviewed thousands of small business owners, every day. I learned first-hand how hard it can be, what affected their industries the most, and the complexities in running a complicated business.
I judged our business competitions and hosted webinars. I spoke about business issues on 3AW, the ABC and The Project. I represented SmartCompany at national conferences.
I went toe to toe with Gerry Harvey, and wrote the story that started the "Gerry Harvey hates the internet" debate.
I helped launch a tech publication, TechCompany, that was sent to tens of thousands of subscribers every week. My work appeared on publications on Crikey, Business Spectator and StartUpSmart. I wrote dozens of stories every week focusing on the best and brightest small businesses in the country - watching trends as they developed and staying on top of the latest changes.
